Rae of Sunshine
The universe tilts on its axis,
access to your heart is a privilege.
Edge of the eclipse
glimpses into your soul.
Control your wild emotions.
Oceans I would drown in.
Sin of me, sad of you.
Through better or the worst of it
fit yourself into the nook of my heart.
Start to see your value.
access to your heart is a privilege.
Edge of the eclipse
glimpses into your soul.
Control your wild emotions.
Oceans I would drown in.
Sin of me, sad of you.
Through better or the worst of it
fit yourself into the nook of my heart.
Start to see your value.

Cheers To A New Year
I left the door wide open
Hoping we could make amends
Giving time...to see if you’d come back
Perhaps not as what we once shared
But perhaps a distant acquaintance or friend.
I longed for your return
Waited through the passing of days and flipping of months
To embrace your return.
I had so much to share with you
So much to tell with little time
I reached out a couple times
Hoping you’d walk through my opened doors.
But you would have rathered kept the nonsense
The meaningless excuse for anger ...
Hoping we could make amends
Giving time...to see if you’d come back
Perhaps not as what we once shared
But perhaps a distant acquaintance or friend.
I longed for your return
Waited through the passing of days and flipping of months
To embrace your return.
I had so much to share with you
So much to tell with little time
I reached out a couple times
Hoping you’d walk through my opened doors.
But you would have rathered kept the nonsense
The meaningless excuse for anger ...

cook onboard
the cook onboard
I had gone to sea as a gally boy it was the way
I could save money for a further education
and it so happened the ship was stuck on ice
In the Black Sea waiting for a Russian tugboat
to set us free.
the crew were an odd sort, they had survived
the war, but spent so long time on ships they
had no idea how to get home.
the officers were elderly men picked up from
the last chance saloon and since the ship was
dry they didn't chance it by going ashore
the cook was Swedish and the gayest man
I had ever...
