Cut my hands off so I’ll never hold a charming relic again
Cut my arms off so I’ll never embrace anyone I care for again
Cut my hair off so I’ll never have the wind running through it again
Cut off my feet so I’ll never feel the sand between my toes again
Cut off my legs so I’ll never walk through the garden of irises again
Cut out my stomach so I’ll never know the pleasure of a full belly again
Cut out my lungs so that I’ll never take a breath of sweet, delicious mountain air again
Cut off both ears so that I’ll never hear the familiar sound of a soft piano again
Cut out my tongue so I’ll never speak foul blasphemies again
Cut out my heart so I’ll never love again
Gouge out my eyes so that I’ll never see beauty again
Replace my brain so I’ll never think again
Cut my arms off so I’ll never embrace anyone I care for again
Cut my hair off so I’ll never have the wind running through it again
Cut off my feet so I’ll never feel the sand between my toes again
Cut off my legs so I’ll never walk through the garden of irises again
