The Darkness Within

Even my own thoughts I don't understand.
Tearing at my mind with their malevolent hand.
My sanity is slowly slipping away.
Leaving me completely, not willing to stay.
The darkness totally engulfs my brain.
Rationable thoughts, now impossible to obtain.
The life within my soul is flickering.
The sinister beings in my dreams are snickering.
Within my empty carcass, there shines no light.
And filling the darkness, is my morbid spite.
