The Second Self

There is one thing that unites
The enlightened minds of this era;
They hate subjugation; they crave for freedom;
They say they love discussions and conversations;
The Multiplicity of opinions is encouraged by each individual;
May be this philosophy helps them increase their followers;
May be this view serves as a sword in the battle against mightier minds;
They say they invite criticism;
They admire virtues like frankness, bluntness and originality;
Diplomacy, Submissiveness and Capitulation
Are qualities that they criticize in the most abominable language;

This is the reason that they abhor the politicians of today’s time.
They hate temples and churches because the rituals bind them;
The Feminists have become misandrists;
The children would not think twice before murdering their dominating fathers;
Even the most illiterate worker understands Marxism;
Many battles have been fought for liberty;
Many revolutionaries have lived and died for independence;
But behind every opaque wall and closed room
There is a never ending conflict; a power struggle;
A contest for the throne of the Monarch;
In public speeches, people say they oppose Nazism;
But in their private spaces, they channelize all their energies
To comfort the Hitler in them; the evil Twin; the Second Self.
