Who lives there now
the house where you once stood
and watched the doe and deer
come to your lawn to feed
who lives there now o' Soul
the place you tended Zena
when she was old and ill
and where Blue lies under the sod
Four years dear beloved Soul
you’re not truly gone
in the whispers of my poems
you will never be forgotten
For love knows no distance
nor realms of dead or life
your spirit won’t fade
your memory is laid in the ink of my heart
