Dear H,

It is one of those poems that write themselves.  After all this time I still wonder how this happens.  But I don't fight it.  Take what's given I'm known to say. I'm glad you get the minimalism approach.  I'm into that lately.  If I keep talking who know what might fall out 😳

I feel at times I say too much, and I am too much. Then I get told I do not say enough. Love this

Poet and writers need to write.

I've written thousands of poems.  I've also deleted half of them.  The fire is still in my belly but making mine medium lately with a tinge of pink...

The irony is I often used to say too much.
Tried to tell too much truth.  I'm more measured now.  Learning to listen again actually...

I’ve been known to say too much
I’ve also been told that I’m too much
I say, “then you’re not my people.”

You can never have too much. Unless we’re talking clothes.

I see those flowers as a bunch of pasties. Black is my favorite color. And daisies just happen to be my favorite flower, so it’s a win win.

The painting is one of my favorites too.
It was a painting I did after a long layoff of doing any art.  A comeback piece if you will..
I actually did it in color but took the color our digitally to make it more dramatic and monochrome.  I think it works both ways depending on mood.

As to speaking my gospel, perhaps I should have been a minister but with no religion, just desire ..

I think it's all about balance - giving and receiving / sharing and listening.

As people and poet's it's a constant struggle to get the right balance but try we must.
It was a quick write and basically did it by itself.  I love when that happens !

Kinda like after a Knick loss (WTF!) versus win (content grunt & then happy silence).  : )

If the Knicks lose on any given night there's always the Grizzlies... watching every game for both teams thus season.  My wife converted me.  Strange days...

So, Knicks #1 & Grizzlies #2.  Only becomes contentious if both are in the finals?  LOL!

That seems very unlikely at this point though I think the Grizzlies have a better team and chance at this point to make the playoffs.
Knicks are still trying to piece together wins.

Every game I watch feels like a playoff atmosphere.  And the frequent injuries all around the league are staggering.  Something has to give ....
