The Feeder
The bird feeder was the it place to be.
When filled with a simple yet glorious feast.
The fluttering wings of the landing birds,
brings hurting hearts a silent joy.
Acrobatic whirling & flapping,
the birds are happy and coy.
Rogue birds on the porch table
devouring stray food.
A full bird is one with nothing to brood.
Should become a human mood.
And below two cloud colored bunnies gather.
Around two squirrels enigmatic pursuit.
A hurting heart would rather,
loosen a root to the pain.
Let the natural world render anxiety mute
in the dim lands of the brain.

What a marvelous piece of poetry Debbie. Peaceful, tranquil and loving.
I myself would never have a bird feeder on my property. Birds from a distance, sure, no problem.
Photo was done really well. I love how the trees aren't in focus and the birds are in action. Great shot!

The dim lands of the brain are the smart place to be.
Wonderful poem, and a great reminder to tune in to nature.
