Lake McDonald
Beneath the clearest
ethereal glow,
The unique stones
are deep desires thrown.
To become the mystery
of the lake's bones.
Pale blue pristine
soul cleansing water.
My bare feet
wade in a country of boulders.
The glistening blue mimicks
a translucent navy sky.
That thinly veils
supreme peace divine.

First off: what a gorgeous photo!!! We don't have lakes and mountains like those in the Netherlands, it's truly breathtaking to watch 🙏🏻
Your poem is equally amazing, your nature pieces are my favorites on here and this gem is probably one of my favorites of yours so far. Sidenote: ever since I was little I took stones with me from almost every walk and I still take stones with me occasionally. I have quite a collection by now, but those stones in the blue divine: WOW. Can't love this piece and your photo enough 💙

That is so nice to hear! Glad I could show you a beautiful part of USA.
You are not the only one taking stones, lol
I like describing nature, with a descriptive photo
so I can bring the joy I feel to other people.
Thank you for sharing with me and such nice feedback.
What is your favorite part of The Netherlands? 😊

D-Bear, as always, this is d-lightful. The photo is really lovely. I appreciate the effort you take pairing a thought to a natural setting.
