Moon Glow

To wear the moon like a crown
How I’d glow as no other

From bland to brilliant
with one beam

A shining beauty for once

Silences me, the seeker
Of all things that glisten

I’m still me
Hoping but not hopeful

Dreams and wishes heaped
upon a romantic moon,

a fool’s folly
