rugged pillars carved in granite
unapologetic in your arrogance
you exude seductive strength
& introspective quiet

I watched you shimmer as ripples in a river
confidently following its path
the calm & gentle motion
fingertips brushing naked flesh
concealing a wildness in your depths

this is you
nature at its finest
both the feral & the smooth
nothing tame within your being
you were made for extremes

I felt your spirit in the winds of a tempest
building quickly in a cobalt sky
& I spread myself before your raging
revelling in your ungentle night

I know you by your nature
& by all the gods
