The Proof is in the Pudding*
US politicians are pitching a new dream they make sound so inviting
but, none of them will to give us a warranty for it in writing
We all want to be happy, safe and free
but, that does not come with a money back guarantee
Can it be returned, if with it we are not completely excited
or if it goes badly are they hoping we will be too tried to fight it
The old folks taught me back in the day
“The proof is in the pudding”, they would say

I wrote this back on 6/25/16 and it is still true!!!!! Cue Rod Serling’s voice: “These Men and Women are Dream Merchants. The only problem is that today’s dream can become tomorrows nightmare”…..Here in the Twilight Zone
