My Shadow

My shadow visits me during the day      
This beautiful angel my sillohette portrays      
He follows me around all day long      
Making sure I'm good and do no wrong      
He's a great listener when I speak      
I confide in him, secrets he keeps      
He knows me well and mimics my actions      
Comforting my mind he's a great distraction        
Come mid day we share the same lunch      
He spars with me when life throws a punch      
He's watching me so I stay out of trouble      
Protecting my innocence when I struggle      
Battling the thoughts that are in my head      
His darkness fills me with light instead      
My shadow's always there, my best friend      
But he disappears when the night begins      
       
That's when he becomes the devil      
My blackened thoughts now unleveled      
My shadow can't save my next victim    
He's not around so I can trick him  
The darkness of night hides my intentions      
Avoiding my shadows intervention      
Saving me from what I'm about to do      
My excuses he would easily see through      
So now I'm lost in my minds nightmare      
Another blood stained street of haunting terror      
I drink, I rob, I rape, I kill      
Murdering working girls is my thrill      
Every night I search for this fun      
Then dismember them one by one      
Creating new stories that I can share      
When daylight comes and my shadow's there
