On The Line

I put my heart and soul on the line
Not just once but everytime
I tried my best to live my life
The way God meant for me to do
But life picked me up, tossed me around
Left me facedown on the ground

Maybe, there's a way to die
Another place, another time
Where shallow people hide their face
Crumbling down in mere disgrace
And evil can't be found anywhere
Where people have some time to spare

I've tossed and turned then still got burned
By those who swore they really cared
Left to wonder what I've done to anyone
Now the ache is more than I can take
In a world of chaos full of so much fakery
I solomly ask the Lord to take me
