She believed everything I said
I took her up to the roof and told her she could fly because I asked God to grant her a special aviator's license.
Did you ever hear of something so goddamn stupid?
She did it
She fell like a fucking stone
Pretty stupid, even for a girl that was an amazing poet!

Re. She believed everything I said
Sometimes, we desire to be inspired to where we become vulnerable to gullibility. I think it can be a trust issue, from either one person or another. On the other hand, you shouldn't leave yourself open to so much suggestion from others in the world, simply because of how rough it is, and human nature, and the darkness of all of that. I can empathize with either side, because I love being inspired, but I hate feeling vulnerable and guilty, so it remains perplexing to be open and trusting at times. Another thing to know for being tough, yet conscientious - you can forgive, but you don't have to trust. Anyway, just some thoughts that your poem elicited me to think. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe she believes everything you say because she herself is serious about everything she says and supposes you to do the same?
Haunting poem,, Keith!👍

Maybe not so much nativity, but rather an innate desire to believe in something. Blind faith is named so for a reason. Never did quite understand it. My mind doesn't work that way. I need proof, I need research and data and case studies. Even then I am cautious and apprehensive. This leads to less experiences. Missing out on opportunities. Being unwilling to take chances. Which is better? Im alive, as opposed to your subject here, but am I living? 🤔

I say baby steps with certain things that were not to keen on but want to do it. So many jump and fall flat on their face. Like the girl in this poem.
Some are so scared of life they dwell in their own misery. Both sides aren't the way to live.
