LUNA to SOL
The bright sphere in the sky
resting gallantly and luminously nearby
shoots the arrow of imperceptible ultraviolet
into the adjacent sphere of the mind's eye
as it sit's humbly upon its larger
mother and life giver of water,
which is known as the blue jewel;
a queen of vibrant yet modest rule
and hence when Sol blinks but
for a moment as the opalescent
globular ocean puller briefly obscures
it with ivory becoming ebony, muse,
so does the eye of the intellect,
grabbing only a moment's rest- ...

DEER
He was walking ever so
carefully down the winding
road
The most alluring of milky scents
wafted through the crisp
air
A blue roaring beast slowed
to a full stop with light brighter than
day
Now he could only smell
the rough choke of
diesel
He didn't even bother to
leap away as he was
disappointed
There was no collision and
he'd rather die than lose scent of
rose-milk
carefully down the winding
road

skies above
did it hurt
when you fell
from skies above?
or was it
fast and easy
happening quickly enough?
were you aware
in that moment
of true love?
a sweet warrior
with true motivation
built ford tough
we'll miss you
and your motorcycle
wheelies and cuts
rest well soldier
incredible and kind
trusting your gut
big brown eyes
goofy silly smile
fell from skies above

It is my 100th birthday

Say it louder for the crowd in the back
"Could you repeat that, sir?"
I jot scribbles onto my notepad.
Yellow pages are wrinkled and faded.
I'll work with what I've got.
"Yeah," he says coolly.
"A rose. You'll see one and be reminded of me."
With that said, the man proceeds to walk out.
He's flanked by two armed guards.
"Well, I guess I got something out of the guy."
I sit and reflect; he said the same thing to that woman.
Maybe under better circumstances, but the same thing.
May she rest in peace.
...
