THESE THINGS I KNOW

I know I am not your first choice
I'd be lucky to be your seconds
Even though I knew from the start you're the one my heart beckons

I know at times I may seem more of a handful and just not enough
Others times I am but, still I think  I'm totally unworthy of your love

I know I have many insecurities and also have far too many flaws
But, I am right here to testify to you
I'd be so fucking damn worth it all

I know from the very beginning you
liked me a lot and actually cared
Time has not been on our sides
and often I don't believe that's fair


But, everything/one has its reason and a lesson and blessing within
Though I've never been in season
I still wait for our moment to begin
