Image for the poem her sparkle

her sparkle

she was looking for special
something magical
it had been a while & she needed the infusion
afraid she'd lost her mojo
and she allowed me to tag along
we stood beneath a fading sky
eating tacos on the hood of her Honda
waiting for the perfect moment
when she wandered off
down to the waterline
in search of that spark of amazing
maybe a little otherworldly
while I leaned against the car
watching her from afar
this is the understanding
I can join her only if I allow her space
don't intrude on her communing
her...nature...& her lens
for me it's a genuine joy
watching her lose herself in the moment
seeing what only her mind can
like sorcery
as the sun descended over a frozen landscape
she found her wonder
and brought it to life
captured forever with her brilliant eyes
