Faerings
Just heard
The Fairy Bells ring
A summoning
To the Fairy Circle
A great gathering
Of the magical Fae
To meet at this twilight
Betwixt night, and day
First
A short, long parade
Led by pixie pipers
And humming toads
Followed by the three sister fairy queens
Mab, Maeve, and Mora
Proud, elegant, and beautiful
And sometimes dark
Oft thought of as three witches
Never, ever, for a lark
The great gathering
Commence to dance
Creating a magical mandala
As they swayed, and swirled
Faster, and faster
The circle spun around
And surely, and swiftly
It raised from the ground
Shooting upwards
Like a whirlwind sprite bound
In a flash
They were all gone
Last seen flying
Into the darkly silken night
Like a meteor
Of ethereal light
Nature
Silenced in wonder
Awoke
Then spoke
As the sounds of the night returned
Full of chitter chatter
About this, and that
shrieks, hoots, screeches
And the crunching under paw
Of frozen leaves
They all knew
About the way, of the Fae
And their Fairy rings
And await the next visitation
with a whisper
Of some trepidation
Of natures friends
