The Fairies in the Fog
Walking home last night.
A fog eliminated the view.
Replacing all colours with a grey hue.
Tabula rasa moment.
I'm in the zone.
My mind thoughts & words mingle.
In that place, jumbled yet unformed.
Words painting visual imagines.
Of eclectic hues and colours.
Sky and clouds became a canvas.
Primed in gray tones.
Silhouettes back lit by street lights.
The world desaturated.
Devoid of colour.
Gray on grey on gray. ...

Naynina pulled the BMW around the circular driveway. She rested the engine and withdrew the key. She opened the door and pushed it close. She hurried around the front of the vehicle to the passenger side. She opened the door.

An old Irish man once told me......
A sweet spot is a place.
Where fairies pass over unseen.
Magic passes over too.
He looked like a sweet old fella. But!
Standing behind you, he'd cast spells.
Full of Jiggery pokery & clownish too.
A fan of Crowley & other bunkum.
Even now I miss the old fella,
Wish I'd been more relaxed, back then.
Listened to his tales of leprechauns.

Rescued By Butterflies
As the fairy lay floundering
Upon the sodden earth
Drowning
Then frowning
Glancing skywards
She witnessed what she thought
Was a swirling rainbow
Which began to hover all around her
As a multitude of butterflies
Of a myriad hues
Began to flap their wings
With such great energy
The fairiys' wings began to dry
And soon was able to fly
Caught within a soft, and silky Zephyr
As she pirouetted skywards
Into the sky, and beyond
Returning to that other place
Where the ethereals reside

The Time Fairy
Her lifeless body
Lay stricken
Upon the bell tower
Her wings
Frayed, and broken
Her words lay on her dying lips
Unspoken
Chasing ghosts
Vanquished dreams
Lost hope
And a fragile heart
Beating a tentative beat
Delicate tears
Caress the saddened soul
No longer whole
Her lifeless body
Still upon the bell tower
Awaiting a burial of sorts
Time moved forward
The hands of the clock
Together, cast her asunder
She was lost to time
Yet became part of it

Even Sweet Girls can be Bitter Princesses
The crown is mine, said the princess
in a voice as sweet as snow.
None can play in this kingdom now.
Not a step, not a sound, not a show...
Until she says so, until she lets it go.
With a smile she took her throne
beneath the sky’s golden glow.
Her decree echoed through the land
and all the games ceased to flow.
Until she says so, until she lets it go.
The court stood silent, eyes wide,
as the princess ruled the floor.
Her presence strong, undeniable.
Her will, they would not ignore.

In the dead of night when the world is still,
Two elves awaken with a mischievous thrill.
Speckle and Heckle, those pint-sized pests,
Plot pranks galore at their craft, they’re the best.
With giggles and whispers, they hatch their schemes,
Turning sweet slumber into chaotic dreams.
Speckle sneaks in with a pot of strong glue,
Sticking children’s faces to pillows askew.

Ghost in the deep forest
Early morning walk
A misty path
The river sleeping
The time i pass
The forest a legend
A book of past
An eerie aura
A spell was cast
The earth was mild
To stir the dust
I heard a whisper
A tune in the hush
Pan was hidden

The sparkling moss
As the shine was peeping
