A Golden Glow
i'm as lost, as the midnight star
on a cloudy night
not a twinkle in site
my shine
lies in the shade
like a shroud
my spirit cowed
wondering whether my light will shine
if there is no-one there to see it
a lone, faraway light
lost behind a cloud
for the rest of the night
until the cloud moved
just as the sun had risen
digesting all starlight
in its golden glow

Fireflies
The golden moon
Sits in the night sky
Full, and glowing
Ever knowing
As she watches on
Sister Earth below
Echoes of her glow
Scampering
Across clear waters
Creating shimmering golden pathways
That stretch
Over the moonlit horizon
To a land
Of far away dreams
Where-in dwell
Ethereal beings
That hover with gilded wings
And golden hearts
Within the mysterious moonlight
like firey fireflies

A Blue Kind Of Day!
I was verbally abused today
A person
Said an unforgivable thing to me
I find it almost to difficult to repeat
I'm still in shock!
What a thing
To accuse a complete stranger of
ME!!!!!
A TORY!!!!!!
I shall never wear blue ever again
Nor red
Nor yellow
Nor green
Which basically
Leaves me with nothing
So i'll be naked
In the lily the pink
Although it's a bit cold
So i'll likely turn blue
Then indubitally
I'll be accused
Of being a Tory again!
How very liberally laborious!

Bewitched!
Written in red ink
The colour of blood
Words bleed
Like a flashflood
The red ink
Follows the blue veined paper
The page begins to fill with words
Witches, dragons, fairies
Fill my house
Mermaids, unicorns, and an inquisitive mouse
The mouse, hadn't always been a mouse
She had once been young Janice
From next door
Who had overheard witches
Talking of magic, and folk lore
One of the witches, picked up her smell
And instantly placed Janice, under a spell
I understand her mousey squeaks, very well
Because...

I was out for a wander one day

And became a circus act

All sounds fishy to me
So i sailed the seven seas
Which had all turned to sand
Making it much easier to find land
And no concerns about sinking
Which set me to thinking
I was to introduce a selkie into this tale
Wondering if she had codsprats for sale
A hundred dozen, or sixty score
Don't think i'd want any more

The room was dark
I could feel her breath
On the nape of my neck
As her soft lips
Brushed past my own
I longed for her
As i grieved her loss
Yet i felt she was here with me
Right now!
I could feel her body
Close to mine
And felt her heartbeat
And her loss.......
I was aware of the madness of my grief
That possessed my every waking moment
And was reaching new levels
As i struggled with her loss
She whispered my name
I could feel the soft breath of her words of love

Still unwell, and not amused
Sorry i couldn't make it your wedding
I'm still entangled, within my bedding
Can almost hear the wedding bells
At the wedding, of the lovely Ruth, and Michelle
I thought of flying there, on my Pegasus yesterday
But my Pegasus is on strike, he wants more hay
Then i saddled up a penguin, like a horse
But i ate it, as i was covered in chocolate of course!
