behind the quarry (with stars)

hes gone away

and he hasnt come back

and you looked for him in the far bushes

back by behind the quarry

with stars

you used to look out

sit on rocks

hes going away

and hes gone somewhere now

i cant point it out

i looked for him on the purple trail

the one that winds down the path where the ground meets

me at the other side

of the world

i dont know where he is

hes hiding i think

might come back

some time again

i dug around for him

down by the lake

where the ducks crowd together when its cold

hes gone away

and hes hasnt come back

i crept and lay with the bumble bees

i grasped their little dandelions

and tugged them from their homes

and cried and cried

as the warm sun caressed me

down by the quarry

where the hawks lay their eggs in the corner tree

the one where we used to sit
