Here is the real deal
in American the struggle for Black folks is real
I am in jail, prison or house arrest
bc my psychology freedom is limited at best
The truth of this on MSM is selective
I am a POW in the class war against my collective
With this poem I am symbolically taking a knee
bc my people are not free on this day-4th of July 2023

Author's Note
From midnight to 2:30 am had dreams that had a black person in white face or a meme in yellow with black letters that read-"Aisle 19". I have never in 65 years of living had this happen before. I still don't know the mystery of Aisle 19. Maybe that is where my subconscious stores the truth in files of things and issues that I have yet to come to terms with. Which is a far deeper concept than this poem and would make a great old time radio show or tv show like "Black Mirror". "Files from Aisle 19" would be the title.

I was intrigue moreso, about your author's noes, in relationship to your musing. It would be nice to read more of this interesting undeveloped dream. Have you looked up the interpretation of what your dream is trying to signify to you in retrospect.

I have the "gift" of dream interpretation. I know what part of it means. For days I have been struggling with my "change of heart" when it comes to celebrating the 4th of July. Which for me as multiple layers. Bc my parents met on the 4th of July in a small park in Champaign/Urbana Il. So, without that meeting I wouldn't have been born!!!! In Addition; even thought I grew up with White people throwing rocks and bottles at me on my way to first grade back in the early 60's-I still wore red, white, blue and was proud to call "America" my home every 4th of July. I wrote a poem entitled: "Of Thee I Sing" about my "loyalty" back 7 years ago. I have tweeted it every 4th of July until today. I am been struggling with want to replace the poem with. So, when I woke up this morning at 2:30 am I knew if I didn't write something these wild dreams would not stop. so from 2:32-35 I wrote this in my mind and recorded as a voice mail to myself. But, the mystery of "Aisle 19" in the sense that my dream gave it that title is unsolved. Why that specific title? Is that place in my subconscious mind really called that? What other mysteries inhabit that space? Will I be blessed to write them as poems or as short stories? .........

Tyvm for asking that bc I really wanted to tell the whole story. It is part of the story of my life. It also deals with the concept of "duality" which is my reality as a Black man in America. Peace and Blessings Queen.
