The tragedy of picking the grape prematurely. Unable to cultivate its sweetness into a pleasing bouquet, full-bodied, structured and balanced red wine. The blood red providing sustenance of life and vitality as it coats the palate. Instead left with a sour mash of grape not even fit to make vinegar.

If the wine had the same acidity as your poem towards the subject, it would need a skull and crossbones label.  An angry Blue, farewell you. No shame, just revenge!! 😉

I'm not angry, just matter of fact.

The sour grapes is on their end.... Sometimes when someone can't get what they want, even after trying every despicable thing they can to try to, they're the ones left with such sour grapes... that they just can't let go.

I'm a girl who's true to my word.... and I hate having that good nature I try and keep/share trampled or taken advantage of...

hence, the double senryú.

Your adept insight is something I love being privy to and just simply adore... full stop.

My apologies my wording was poor. You weren't the one soured - more along the lines of the potential relationship being soured because of the sour short-sighted suitor.

luckily it wasn't a romantic relationship either... I'm no good at romance recently....

It's water under the bridge, this was just something I made and had saved in my drafts for awhile... purging it felt cathartic.

A little off topic, it reminds me of a well my grandpa had on a farm-like property that tasted, always, of rust...but we were so thirsty we drank deep from it's waters.Brava bellissima🐻💞🐰

Cunning, deadbeat foxes will always seek to elevate their own baser tastes by declaring sour the grapes that hang out of their reach.  Delicious grapes can always eliminate predictable, objectionable foxes by letting them drool from the gutters.  Your piece is visually engaing, intellectually stimulating, and proverbially majestic.
