I don't know what it is about the phrase 'good grief' that just makes me smile from ear to ear but it totally does!! (I think it's probably my love of Charlie Brown... haha) Your comments have me humbled, Jackie. I feel a thousand feet tall, knowing you felt exactly what I had tried my best to convey.

There's always going to be a dark element out there amidst the light, it's how we navigate through those dark spaces while trying to keep our own brilliance, that matters in the end. Treating others how you yourself want to be treated... yeah.

Thank you for being so in tune to what I was trying to convey. It's really awesome to feel heard.

This was sitting in your drafts? Seriously? You know what sits in mine? Random words as titles. Then huge blank empty boxes where the actual poem is supposed to be.

The relationship I have with this poem is how close to home it hit. Mental and physical scars and trading them like currency feels like a way of life to me now. How you managed to create art with those feelings is triple grand slam amazing. This is painful and beautiful rolled into one outstanding write.

Yeah, that's hard to actually quantify, if you're fooled into becoming even remotely friendly, only to realize once you're invested, what a huge mistake that was.

Maybe I have a thing for certain kinds of personalities but I would like to think I've grown to the point where I can recognize the warning signs of those that I know are going to be no good for me, when it's behavior clearly on clearly display... It's frustrating sometimes that as adept as I become at recognizing those tells, some folks seem to also become just as equally adept at hiding them...

Go figure, eh?

Haha I'm good! I got a new family which I thought was impossible! The universe picked a tough father figure and an even tougher mother, but they're necessary and a home to go to when I need one, no matter what! I'm glad to be back and ready to steal your prophetic words of wisdom to use on the daily :) should make things less wordy and tedious. It's in issue with me!
