Dive mates

To my dive family

It's like I'm in another world, the warm water is so clear, bubbles escaping your regulator is the muffled sound you hear

As you travel down deeper a wreck comes in to view, before you swim inside you check your dive buddie is with you

The ship lays quietly some have ended up being somebody's tomb, some are quite spacious, some have little room

Corners of darkness or large areas bathed in light, you take in every detail, to log down in your book that night

Then you might be on a reef watching a million bright fish swimming by, you try to recognise the many different species, well at least that's what I try

You find a little Nemo or a large Turtle might just glide on by, surrounded by such beauty, you can't help but sigh

Fish of every shape and size, sea creatures blow your mind, a small piece of serenity of our nature's kind

I pray in the short time I'm underwater I get to see a Shark, it was the reason I learnt to dive, it was my beginning spark

Sharing this with my dive mates, I'm honoured I was there, I still have the reminders, now I'm paralyzed in my chair
