Drift Away

We watch you drift away
With each drug you take 
With each sip of alcohol you take
It's sad to see your brain being overtaken by substances
I remember the days when we used to spend all day together
Go the the park and play sports till the sunset
I wish that person would come back
But I'm wishing foe something that will never happen.
You are too far gone into your own world
That no body will understand but you
You will never be able to come back to reality
You have caused so much pain and disappointment
Thinking it would be possible for the person I miss so much to come back
But I have learned to live with the fact that, that will never happen.
I miss who you used to be 
The sadness lingers in my heart everyday
However I have learned I'm better off without your negative influence in my life.
