How to Build Anticipation
He walked away from the rest of the party
And ran into her upstairs in the hallway
She was standing there leaning against the wall
Averting his eyes without a word to say
They had seen each other amidst the crowd
Stolen glances created a silent fascination
Although they were there with their dates
The curiosity was building an anticipation
He stood across from her in the hallway
Occasionally looking into her pretty eyes
And while the music blasted from the party below
She writhed her waist a bit to his surprise
He felt his body straining, his blood draining
Glancing at her for a second then up at the ceiling
She bit her lower lip waiting in expectation
As her knees began to quiver with a similar feeling
He couldn’t think of anything to say in the hallway
Their bodies could sway to the music downstairs
They both shared an ache and there was no mistake
They wanted the same thing given by those stares
She begins to breathe a little faster in front of him
He closes his eyes to disguise he was losing control
Her hips twist faintly as if expressing trepidation
A sensation they both seem they couldn’t hold
These two strangers, this man and this woman
Were drawn by this raw and natural impulse
They were bound by this special moment in time
Edging closer involuntarily ready to convulse
Then it happened!
Another man opens the door and sees them
Looks at her, looks at him and says “Next!”
He leaves the door wide open and walks away
As the strangers stand there slightly perplexed
As she begins to move with despair and desperation
He pushes her out of the way she falls to the floor
On her way down he yells “Move bitch!
I gotta doo-doo” as he closes the bathroom door
