I’ve got miles and miles of heart
I’m going to live forever
But I’ve gotta take a step back
Before you kill me
Invisibility whispers doubt
Tempting a pointless race
From your mirror eyes
Without my reflection
Speeding away in my Black Cherry Vet
Music’s blazing trying to forget
Top down Black Cherry hair
Flying high whipping all around
Holding hands with the open road
Merging into the night
Cause I don’t want to fight
Got whiskey and coke on ice
Poured into my glass cup
Topped off at work by my boss
To down all my medications
In the rearview mirror
My vintage caramel face
No makeup on feeling toxic free
Red eyes staring back at me
Speeding away in my Black Cherry Vet
Top down Black Cherry hair

Like crazy ribbons without a care

I obviously sensed the blur of frustration within your write. I hope you succeeded in outrunning it? But it did give you some awesome ammo to use in this write! Our emotions make great fuel for writing. You tore this one up!

Aw thank you it means a lot to me too that I could bring you a positive feeling. That's mostly why I come here when I'm not writing my really damn long poems and working hours editing the audio poems, it's so hard without a sound studio I have to nip out all these background noises lol

I'm always hauling ass in the morning but in the evening
on the way back I take my time. It's also great for my
writing. It's weird how it can clear your mind and help you
think on things too.
