I Saw a Unicorn!
I swear I saw a unicorn,
When I went outside to play.
It was whiter than a snowflake,
And could talk just like me!
It had a single spiral horn,
That shone as bright as day.
But it would not let me take,
It's pretty horn away!
The unicorn raised such a fuss,
That the fairies came to rescue it.
They acted like I was a monster,
And took it away from me!
They only did what was just,
And off they went, away to flit.
Likely to some plot of theirs stir,
Where a child like me can't see!
But I swear I saw that unicorn,
When I went outside to play.
It was whiter than a snowflake,
And could talk just like me!
It only wanted to keep its' horn,
Because that was just its' way.
So it was okay I could not take,
Its' pretty horn away!
When I went outside to play.
It was whiter than a snowflake,
And could talk just like me!
It had a single spiral horn,
That shone as bright as day.
But it would not let me take,
It's pretty horn away!
The unicorn raised such a fuss,
That the fairies came to rescue it.
They acted like I was a monster,
And took it away from me!
They only did what was just,
And off they went, away to flit.
Likely to some plot of theirs stir,
Where a child like me can't see!
But I swear I saw that unicorn,
When I went outside to play.
It was whiter than a snowflake,
And could talk just like me!
It only wanted to keep its' horn,
Because that was just its' way.
So it was okay I could not take,
Its' pretty horn away!

Re. I Saw a Unicorn!
I love this poem very much, Chloe! When I was very little, I used to play outside a lot. And sometimes, do you know what? I too would encounter magical things. Maybe not unicorns in my case, but most certainly other magical creatures. Fairies, Elves, and sometimes other things too! I oft would tell my mother, and of course she would never believe me... but that is how it is when you can see the magical things that most adults do not have the means of seeing any longer. I am a bit...different... than most adults because I can still see those things. And, if anything, I can see a lot more of them now than ever before. So, when you tell me that you saw a unicorn... I totally believe you! *Smiles* :D

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you so much! I am so happy you took the time to tell me what you think of my poem. Yeah, I totally love stuff like unicorns, fairies, elves, and just about everything like you said. I do believe your story too, Kara! I mean, it is really stupid that adults just do NOT get it... except for you, of course. I think you totally get it! But it is just that we can see things sometimes that they can't or won't or whatever it is. I'd just love to hear all kinds of stories about the stuff you've seen! Drop me a message sometime about it, and I'll tell you more of my stories too. I've got tons, and they're all true! I'm happy you believe me... nobody usually does, so that makes me really, really delighted to learn that you do. I'm smiling too! Lol

I am happy that you believed me! I always speak the truth even if others might find it incredible or difficult to believe. But the truth is rarely what we most wish to hear! Sometimes, it can challenge our very understanding of things, but that only makes us grow all the more in understanding. The more you read of my writings, the more you will learn of the things that I have seen, and more still! But I will be happy to tell you all the stories you like when we have more time to talk more privately together. I will definitely drop you a message containing some, as soon as I get the chance to. I cannot wait to hear more of yours, as well! Sharing stories with each other is a fun way to get to know each other that much better, too. Those who do not believe you are not worth your time! Never fear, for I will always believe every word that you tell me. Keep smiling, and I shall too! :D

You are a very honest person I've noticed! I like that about you very, very much too. Yeah, me I'd rather hear the crazy impossible sounding truth anytime rather than some adult-invented story that is often a lot more kooky than the reality would be. I think understanding is super important in life! I always say it's the key to peace. I am going to read as many of your writings as I can, for sure. I love sharing stories! It's going to be cool hanging with you, I just know it. It's good to have a person like you in my life! Someone I can tell anything to, and I know you'll listen to me. Makes me happy!

This is a sweet lovely fictional fantasy poem, sometimes snow and clouds can look like unicorns and what not yet i enjoyed this fab whimsy that took me to Neverland fairyland. Kudos!

Happy you liked it! You can interpret my poem however you want to, that's the cool part about poems like this, they can have different sorts of meanings to different people. Thanks for leaving a comment!

This poem is very sweet and fun to read, Chloe! You know, I don't care what anyone else thinks, says, or believes... but I believe that you really, really did see a unicorn. And fairies too! You keep that imagination and sense of magic and wonder alive in you as long as you can in life. Me, I'm still trying to get a lot that back in me! Something Kara's been helping me with. There's nothing wrong with believing in things like that, just like there's nothing wrong with you having those imaginary friends of yours too. You just be you, and be the very best you that you can possibly be! Those who don't understand aren't meant to. Keep on smiling, sweetie!
