Eden Regained
Only fear can define us,
only love confines us,
yet fear and chains exist only in the mind
and I have never been afraid of love.
You wait on the other side,
my path through darkness bides
In mountain passes I'm burnt to ash,
valleys rift with sins and smoke.
Resolve a fickle hope,
weaken,
on my knees,
but my biggest fear is failure in your eyes,
my biggest hope the chains of love.
In fear is nobility found,
with devotion our freedom lost,
in tendrils entwined,
two become one and Eden regained,
my only fear is losing you
only love confines us,

I love the title.
Humans are forever in search of finding Eden again it seems.
Fear definitely has a way of defining us.
And love of confining us. That is so well said.... As your divination often does.
We often let fear chain our minds and prevent us from doing or expressing things.
In some things I am fearless but that came at a steep price.
I suppose I have been afraid to love but there are reasons for that too.
Always waiting on the other side and especially deep in the darkness.
Through those mountain passes... You definitely are never failing in my eyes. :)
But I understand that biggest fear for sure. Fear of failure to someone you love.
I adore the strong love you have expressed here so intimately.

Self doubt creates such a crippling fear. Every day I fight to acknowledge my worth. Every day I fight to be strong enough to love, to realize life is not a competition and my worth is not dependent on finishing first. Well, not every day but the bad days. On the good days my spirit flows out across the oceans and I see into the hearts of people and think world is a pretty good place.

We all have bad days but I am always hoping and wishing you have good days. Your spirit is beautiful and something to behold. It shows in your actions, like trying to help people. So just realize that you are worth so much more...
