Hell yes, I agree.  Easy enough to catch my attention. But to reel me in, it takes substance.  

Awesome write, to go with the colorful talent.  I can appreciate the fact that you put probably just as much thought in your paintings as you do the complimentary( Or is it poem first) writing that follows under them.  Multi talented means you'll never starve for results.

I've got so many poems and so many paintings stored I'm like a fat squirrel who hoards his treasure for future consumption or table setting ....
Personally I like my writing from years ago better than many of my themes of today.  Back then I was jaded but a different kind of jade.
My paintings come as they do.  I'll probably be starting again after resting that craft for the last few months.  Autumn is a productive time generally ...

It's a reasonable request I believe ....

An affair always starts with the mind.
That desire to be make eye contact.
To be touched...
Secret folds becoming so wet.
Coy glances hiding intense desires.
Lighting that fire...
That incredible need to burn.
In a passionate flurry leaning over the desk.
Made me think of something at work. :p

The painting really pulls you in.

I live for the burn

But it has to start somewhere and it's those early conversations that are the real jam. Then you want more and then more is never enough.  Do you know what I mean ? Then it's obsession for me.
