You make me smile

I'm loving this mirror series.
This entry is so uplifting and a perfect mirror to the poem by APPS.
Many times we wallow in darkness.  You, APPS, myself.
But this is a happy testament to the good nature a smile will bring.
Hats off to you Kx and APPS for the original.

A smile goes a long way and can even save a wounded soul

Oh yes! the power of a smile and all the incredible feelings and mysteries it can hold. It can truly save a wounded soul and conquer it too. :p I hope you smiled at all the girls today Tim giving them a little thrill with your presence. I bet you did, didn't you? :p

That's such an incredible compliment Ted. I am really happy you see strengths in my writing and that you like variety since I tend to do a lot of different stuff. ;) Memories and experiences are definitely what drives my writing and those can be anything including reading another poem. I love that you feel they translate into what others will understand in novel ways, that really makes me feel good. I think often my writing may be kind of strange and not easy to understand; at least on some different levels regarding the multiple meanings but some things I avoid writing about in a more direct way. But I love it when the reader feels something and is pulled in with me. Thanks so much for the incredible comment. I really love what you said.

Hey eyes... So true, it really can tell you so much. You know when a smile is genuine and actually I am absolutely terrible at faking a smile. :p But oh yes, a smile can definitely hide so much too. Including past trauma, pain and suffering. But knowing that someone can still make you smile, feeling that I think makes the smile even more impactful. I am really happy you found it beautiful. Those last lines definitely form the overall sentiment of how someone can truly make us feel special, beautiful, and loved. Yes, the idea was always about showing appreciation for and getting visibility for others. There is so much incredible writing here and often some things will fly under the radar too. My only concern was I can only post, or even write, so much so it's going to take time to do everything I would like to with this. Still you know I am one to take chances with stuff and I liked the idea so it is what it is. I really hope people will like it too and if they do then I am happy.

That's so true... Spreading that beauty and joy is the best thing. I have always been told I project my emotions VERY strongly. So if I am upset or sad it can affect everyone around me very quickly, but if I am happy and smiling it can do the same. And if I am well.... * nevermind, innocent look * lol that definitely has an affect on people too. lol I love sharing a smile with you like you share so many through your love and light. Yeah girl! I have talked about your incredible smile before. ;) You have such a wonderful uplifting personality that makes people feel good. (In case you didn't know). It's so lovely that you can smile even when life beats you down and share that with people. My smile is complicated. ugh! I guess like every other part of me. It can definitely raise spirits a lot but... it doesn't always come easy. :p I can be quite intense... (I know that's probably a surprise, right?) A smile can be so soothing in some situations and when there is a lot of pain and suffering behind your smile sometimes it can shine so much brighter if that makes sense. That feeling which brought it on can be far more intensely felt. Anyway, your presence brings on smiles. ;)

That's so true it can make somebody's day, sticking in the mind and just making them feel good. Of course smiles are addictive too. And contagious. Smiles also lead to kisses. ;) I always loved the kiss the cheek gesture in parts of Europe. I found that very affectionate and sweet.

Very cute is definitely what I was going for... Something that would make people smile. Not complicated like so much of my writing can be. I am actually very romantic even if perhaps that does not always show through as easily sometimes. The little gestures mean so much... a smile, a kiss, a touch. I love them all and so much more... Well you really made me smile Keith. That is such a lovely comment, I have actually been pretty emotional today and that's not a good thing so I definitely needed the smile. I love when I can make people smile. Being somewhat of a tortured soul that varies. I can really make people smile and feel a lot of passion but the flip side can be equally as intense so I guess everything finds a balance somehow. With things with my Mom and everything it's just hard right now. 'your ability to move from different subject matter seamlessly' I adore that, thank you. Keep smiling. Definitely, that smile that just penetrates into the soul and makes you tingle from head to toe. Every smile is beautiful and meaningful but that special smile is something else.
