I felt similarly, trust me, it's been a journey to get to this point, so I completely get what you're saying!! Eventually I have come to really love senryú and haiku, so much so they're probably one of my favorite styles!!

It's always a search to try and find the perfect visual for your poem, especially if it's only 17 syllables.... lol... So I'm pleased it made an impact.

I think I remember a Kubrick documentary special once or DVD short maybe, where Kubrick wanted Ripper - George C Scott to say the most outlandish shit and that's when he and the screenplay writers came up with.. 'precious bodily fluids' ...as a perfect way to to throw comedic shade at conspiracy theorists of the time who actually believed the fluoridation of our water was a communist plot.... 😲
