I completely agree that it feels different and I appreciate you feeling that, too. It's a departure for me in style. I'm not really confident or all that comfortable with rhyming but this is what rolled off the pen as Beethoven's music inspired so I didn't much argue... lol!  

I find your sense of soothing or better yet that surrealism you felt, to be a true compliment that leaves me absolutely beaming, Sawyer! ...  It's how I sometimes feel when I'm taken to places that only certain music can transport me to, Beethoven's work being Chief among them....

Dear Dear P!

How do you get me, so... well!!

I hoped for an intentional almost structureless strange feeling or haunting format that needed to also feel flowing like the music itself so the rhyming in unusual places felt organic and natural to try to pen... in all honesty some of it just fell into place that way. It's incredibly cool how similar feelings can be evoked or inspired....  

I have been on a Beethoven "binge" for a few weeks prior to this comp popping up so it was definitely kismet for me to write something with his work as impetus. In fact I just got done watching the movie Immortal Beloved earlier this evening which is one of my absolute all-time favorite movies. I've probably watched it a gazillion times. Gary Oldman is fucking brilliant in his portrayal of Ludwig "Louie" If you've never watched it you should... it's incredible! Killer story Killers soundtrack killer cast.... you can't go wrong!

You ended with saying it leaves one adrift on a sea of moonlit beauty.... Omg!!! Now you must watch the movie! (it's free on the Tubi app)  
You've inadvertently described an integral scene at the end of the movie... Holy shit!!  
That just blew my mind.  

I hope you get to see it whenever you get a chance, let me know if you remember this conversation so you can apply it towards the end of that movie... because it's eerie how closely what you wrote resembles what happens on screen!

I desperately tried to keep only thoughts of how the music made me feel... in an abstract but hopefully profoundly expressive way. Which because I genuinely adore Beethoven, was far easier than I anticipated...but still a struggle..  
 
The potent almost prescient infusion into a realm of historical mythos, virtuoso and Master composer is intoxicating, intricate and oddly freeing.. O' to let such exquisite artistry be the wind at my back...  
No matter the competition results, I feel successful in the winning of your favor!

Sometimes, (at least for me) , it's about taking chances and changing up what and how I usually write when certain types of poems or themes start to feel super repetitive despite how many different ways I've written within my truth. I do feel my focus waning on my own production of erotic based material and my taste in what I consider exceptionally well written erotica, too... Maybe it's a phase... lol... or perhaps it's just that growth and change is inevitable...

Hey there, dear lady.
I've been on a bit of a Beethoven kick for a few weeks now, and can't stop playing his music or learning more about him! (so the comp was totally serendipitous!) I've always been a fan but I stared reading and researching more more about his life and what the writing of different pieces of his mostly astonishing popular music meant at certain stages of his life when he wrote them —it's been fascinating. I think maybe my interest has completely grown so looming large that I'm meant  (at some point in my life) to visit Vienna where he lived, played and composed, the majority of his life. Maybe walk in his footsteps and pay my deep respects .... Have you ever traveled to Vienna? .... It looks gorgeous! What a city....

Anyway, long long story, I know ... haha...

Also the song “Stardust”:  Nat King Cole is my favorite crooner of all time and that song is one I can listen to all day.

Amazing write to accompany and amazing piece. It's hard to believe that as he was Beethoven was losing his hearing he could still compose this wonderful music.

A composition in space and time like the mating of Shakesperean meter with the Moonlight Sonata that carries the dream into a romance born into lyrical heaven. This is genius both in form and imagery. You took me into the heart of the place where lovers kiss and dreamers fall in love. This is such a melody as to hypnotize my eyes in a forever trance that takes me into cosmic realms of light and warmth.
