journal so she threw it
in a well.
He later went to the well
and drank a bucket
of the water, hoping
to swallow down all

He ended up with cholera

This is a great choice of combo for the idea of drinking her words. Very clever!

Its funny, years ago and I mean at least ten, I had someone trying to copy and paste my DU poetry in a similar attempt of "drinking words". So this entire poem carried some strong meaning to me.

I love this, and in fact anything where words come to life and actually inhabit the world in some way. So that was the best part for me. The ending was unexpected, but fantastic... the water is water again and it serves him right!!
