Time Spent

You hated the time spent behind those prison walls
For crimes committed and choices taken.
While I sit at the edge of my bed
Hating the time I'm spending inside my own body
Not only did you force yourself onto me...
You put me down for life.
Even when I bask in the sun I seem to always decay-
But I guess that's okay.
I'll go to therapy forever, get support on Twitter
My little 15 minutes of # fame.
You see, you did the time for your crime
And I'm stuck doing infinity.
If you don't get my point, let's put it like this:
Your's is an illusion, mine reality
You're walking free but when I walk the streets
Every face and yours morph into one
I'm tired of screaming with my head underwater
And it has been you holding me under.
Our justice system was an anchor to my foot-
Making sure I'd never rise again.
But I'm sure you hated time spent
Behind those prison walls
