A Pained Heathen's Prayer
11:11, let me say a prayer
Father, I hope you're here...
Forgive me my doubt-
I could never be sure.
Bless the damned and
Have mercy on a poor soul
Genuflecting on a hungry stomach.
Curses unto the heathens
Wait- all but myself.
Father my plea- free me
Free your child from treachery.
Blessed are my cries
That sometimes bring me comfort
When I'm devoid of all else.
11:12, Amen

Marry me in a field of flowers
Let the Spring bloom give our union power
Hour for hour, let the rays rise and set
Take my hands in yours, shame regret
I'll do and once I've vowed,
Let the doves fly, purify me
Stitch up the last piece of thread
That binds us, soul to fate

Time Spent
You hated the time spent behind those prison walls
For crimes committed and choices taken.
While I sit at the edge of my bed
Hating the time I'm spending inside my own body
Not only did you force yourself onto me...
You put me down for life.
Even when I bask in the sun I seem to always decay-
But I guess that's okay.
I'll go to therapy forever, get support on Twitter
My little 15 minutes of # fame.
You see, you did the time for your crime
And I'm stuck doing infinity.
If you don't get my point, let's put it like this: ...

Ending At The Start
I sat at the same chair at the back corner of the Café where I'd been sitting for over 10 years. At first, it was my refuge from people's eyes wondering why I was sitting all alone, with my nose deep in a book and a donut stuffed halfway down my throat.
After all these years, it started having a sense of home to it; the uneven cushion on the chair, mug marks left by hundreds of previous customers and the strong aroma of coffee beans coming from the kitchen.

Within
I've walked this life- searching
For what was taken at birth
Hypnotized, a sort of Waldosia with no faces
Giving direction- emotionless
And now, sitting in a flood of past regrets
I realize what was taken was hidden
Within myself as to never find it.
I cry for what time I've lost
My mission?
Retrieve that which is rightfully mine.
Loving those who knew nothing of it
Unrequited in my mission.
I've been searching for love
And forgot to look within.

Rivers
Take me to the side of your river
And let me observe the calm and treacherous
The water lillies and flowers that grow there
And maybe I'll understand the tears flowing down your face.
I'll take you to my river right now
Where the water runs shallow most days
On offdays, the river holds so much
Water overflows onto the banks.
Flowers grew there, but my water is poisoned
Occasionally nothing but blood dominates,
Don't ask me of its origins, don't ask its purpose
I'll take you to my river and maybe
You'll save me from drowning... ...

Rain
I habitually wait for the rain
When the ground gives off that smell,
I always rush home to prepare
For what I must purify.
Then it comes, pouring
I step out and let it soothe sorrow
Engulf my tears
While thunder swallows screams
Wash away what I could not
Quench the dryness of this heart
And bring back life to what has died
Remind me, as you drizzle away
That storms bring with them a rainbow.

Pick your path, oh little bird

Toxic Remembrance
You're with me all the time, engraved in memory
But on the contrary, you're fleeting to me
So I'll stumble out of bars right down memory lane
Swallow the pain with glasses of Champagne
Smoke till I get you off my clothes
Laugh until I've forgotten all your jokes
Stagger into beds, on my knees to move a head.
You're with me day and night
So hold me tight even for those brief seconds
Give me heaven and make it pleasant
Carve your signature deep into my skin
Stop where my soul begins
Dance with me through this silent night ...
