As I walk in
the crisp night
air and see
the glow of the
city lights on
the distant hill;
I feel a warmth
flow over my soul
as I long for YOU.
A car speeds by
and I think how
I'd like to be rushing
to you; to hold you
closer than my skin.
I see a faded billboard
on the roadside
with a picture of a
couple embracing and
know that our love
and passion has not
faded but is stronger than ever.
It has only been 15-minutes
since I left your house
and my total being
is filled with a longing
to run back for one
more kiss, magic touch
and marathon sharing.
Oh, how I long for
you, and only YOU.
I know I'll see you soon
at the Kissing Place
but that doesn't calm
the longing...in fact
it enhances it...which
is great.
