So he's fixing to
Bend the knee
Saw him on the
Sidewalk with the ring
We're the blooming rose garden
Hurry up before the night darkens
Go ahead grab the
Clippers and clip away
We don't mind
Our rose display
Love to see your smiling faces
Happiness for crystal vases
It's okay we'll be the rose display
We saw you sneaking out
The other night
Finally came back
Glad you're alright
Go ahead grab
Your chainsaw
And cut away
We don't mind
Our rose decay
Price to pay for your mistakes
Arrange me in your crystal cage
Bouquet absorbed sunray

Author's Note
I have a white jasmine vine on one side of my sidewalk and a rose bush on the other.
The vine is still breathtaking but my rose bush bloomed its last rose today.
Made me sad.
Thinking about all the times I snipped it and put on my kitchen table. Sometimes we need to prune and other times maybe we should just let it bloom and wilt in its own time.
FYI - listening to The Eagles - In The City
It's on the soundtrack of the movie The Warriors. Love that movie. Classic gold!!!!

My poor rose bush just dropped her last petal this weekend.
Plus someone had their loud ass leaf blower
on early in the morning. Ughh.
That's where I got the chainsaw from. LOL

Dear A,
I couldn’t help but think of the cyclical nature of nature and life in general. I can’t help but wonder if I’m a simpleton at heart because when I’m sad over the end of something I’m immediately distracted by the “new” of something else. To me, this poem was a lovely telling of what your reader could see from your window. A sweet vignette of a moment in time. H🌷

You are no simpleton amiga. Far from it. That is how everyone should look at life. Just means another door opens.
Just saw my naked rose alone with no petals. Just the core was there all faded from color. They are a pretty light purple pinkish hue.

I'm curious,, that reference to the chainsaw, is there something special about that, does chainsaws play a part in your life.

Hahah.
Well - I am from Texas. LOL
No I heard a loud leaf blower in the morning when I was
playing around with it in my head. Reminded me of a chainsaw.
I think that is why It got kinda dark instead
of staying in a happy place.
I am not an early riser and they were up at friggin' 8 in the morning....on a weekend. Who does that?
Apparently a lot of people. LOL

Awhh.....now I think of you as my living rose garden that never decays:)
In a way I was also wanting to give the rose a voice.
I feel when they are given to try and smooth things over with a loved one they feel the negative energy.
Being stuck in the middle.
They must say.....man fix your own problems and leave me in the garden. LOL
