polka dot
the polka dot orchid smiled at me
while the noon sun hung crooked
psychedelic time stop there
inside my need it halt
I wore a halo of regret
its heavy weight said I was no good
salvation was for the innocent
not the guilty
I was too jaded to believe
a denim heart worn from wear
didn't believe in love anymore
not for me
my patches outnumbered my denim
a patch for jealousy
one for a cheaters limbo
another for broken trust
I could no longer cover
what my soul knew
i sucked at love
the broken grey leer through the smoke
its cracked humor made me thoughtful
the dawn rose on my bad mood
I would love again
