You dirty dog you... wouldn't have it any other way. My filter is broken too so I really dig this one. That little dog is adorable and he knows how to find a view. Smart. Is that PC? Who knows the goal post keeps changing by the minute. I need some vapor rub, I can handle it. Oh no, pics.. there is a line. lol ;) I don't sleep well either but I get really funny albeit not very PC with no sleep. Part 2 - Anti-Khrist.

Surprisingly that picture wasn't hard to find.   Lots of other no filter deviants like me exist.  We're not PC but you'll never catch us wearing beige either.  Fuck beige as I like to say !!

I was hoping that message would come through.  I just write what comes to me and filter be damned.  I'm a wayward minstrel nomad and you're right.  Take no prisoners, no prisoners will be taken is certainly a motto I use often.   Hunter S. Thompson a personal hero and other renegades as well.   Even Glenn Gould who wanted to speed up the music that was 300 years old or something. I'm sure you can relate to living the life.   Bob Dylan in the song Absolutely Sweet Marie off the album Blonde on Blonde sang " to live outside the law you must be honest" ...  that's me !!

I've thought about this poem a lot, since I first read it, days prior.
Like other people noted, the directness & the frankness of expressed desire is what works.
Thinking about it culturally, it harkens back to the post-punk of the 80s.
Like the Descendants, "I'm a Pervert."
I wonder how that plays now, in terms of millennials, zoomers, etc.
That's one layer of...distortion, or a filter.
There's also the social media filter, in particular the anonymity. (I'm not anonymous, but that's my decision; a lot of folks on here are).
And then there's the lockdown filter.
All these filters influencing how the words and attitude...let's say, "exist," for lack of a better term.
Another thing that's been on my mind, thinking about this poem, was a poem that got...well, in the vernacular of the Pinchet-era in Argentina, "Disappeared."
Arguably, a poet who didn't exhibit a certain...mandatory filter.
And, yes, sleep deprivation influences behavior.
But there's a heavyweight fight this weekend and the bodybuilding community is going to crown Mr. Olympia (the only demographic that is, as a rule, crazier and more foolish than poets, bodybuilders).
As the Jews say, "Enough is enough, already."
Food for thought.
