Pause For The Cause
That which doesn't kill me makes me stronger
Theoretically, but won't I truly just suffer longer?
Nonconformer & stronger rebel with a cause
If life had a joystick, I'd need to press pause
Pause for the cause of recouping peace
But there's only one way for struggles to cease
To release the soul from its fleshly temple
There's peace in rest, that's just plain and simple
Still waters ripple in order to strengthen us
Riding on the waves like the back of the bus
A valiant fight is a must to survive & thrive
At times, docking vessels helps us stay alive
Theoretically, but won't I truly just suffer longer?
Nonconformer & stronger rebel with a cause
If life had a joystick, I'd need to press pause
Pause for the cause of recouping peace
But there's only one way for struggles to cease
To release the soul from its fleshly temple
There's peace in rest, that's just plain and simple
Still waters ripple in order to strengthen us
Riding on the waves like the back of the bus
A valiant fight is a must to survive & thrive
At times, docking vessels helps us stay alive
