Rant - Last Words on Nonvaxers
I don't understand not taking the vaccine now. With 90 percent of the covid hospitalizations being nonvaxers and 95 percent of deaths from those same people. You'd think we were beyond the burden of proof.
The idea that taking a vaccine to keep you alive in some way interferes with your freedom is the most confusing thing I've ever heard. Last time I checked, you need to be alive to be free.
The people who won't wear a mask are the same people who won't take the vaccine. It's almost like they want to either die or kill off a loved one.
I'm through worrying about those who won't take a vaccine that saves lives. I'm through with expecting people to show concern for others.
Let Darwin's law play out.
I only hope they die off before they create a variant that kills us all.

I share your frustration ... wear my mask everywhere ... despite being vaccinated ...

I do the same. Mainly because I couldn't live with myself if somehow I spread it to someone else.

There seems to be an opinion about Covid wherever you go. And I do get it — it stems from frustration. A frustration of not being heard in the first place, I think.
Personally, I am double vaccinated due to compromised immune system, and even though I can’t wear a mask due to asthma, I do wear a visor, sanitise my hands always and keep space between people. I also do lateral flow tests twice a week because of work.
However, there’s quite a few in my friend group who have chosen not to be vaccinated. And I have to respect that. I have to respect that everybody has a choice to do what is right for them and their body.
If there is a freedom in having the vaccine, then there also must be the freedom for people to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is right for them. And I’ll always allow space for that. Because I’m a human being that believes in freedom of choice.
In all honesty, I did get rather a lot of adverse effects from my vaccination. But the pros of the vaccine out weighed the cons for me. People (especially women) need to decide if they want to put their bodies through that. Very much personal choice.
At the end of the day, just continue doing the right thing for you and for your nearest and dearest. There’s enough voices trying to be loud in this already deafening Covid world.
By the way, I’m not like shouting or anything. It’s very hard to communicate tone of voice on this thing 😂

If I decide to drive the wrong way on the interstate, it would be my decision, but it affects more than me. That is how I look at vaccines.
