Thank you. We do not have 'mass' in my Anglican Church, the service that day included a child's baptism with 30 family and friends of the party in attendance - a record attendance after the restrictions of lockdown closed the church for months..  

The title of your poem reminds me of the raucous chorus of the Rod Stewart song - I often heard his music when younger, my sister being a fan.

‘Raucous chorus’ never t me, beguiling yes and I was actually listening to Rod Stewart when the musing of this poem overwhelmed me... however, I had to change the title to Do you Think I’m Sexy.. in regards to not infringing upon his copyright title and out od respect.

And it must be thrilling  to  witness a baptism, it is more special when a child gives his life back to Christ…

Raucous was describing how he sounded to me at the time singing that fast paced song. His voice may probably have mellowed with age since then. He does also sing more thoughtful songs as well, granted.

I can remember back then also reading in a newspaper about a controversy in an English town when people starting requesting songs to play at cremation services. At one crematorium (read crematory in US) permission had been granted to a family to play a record of 'I am sailing; at a seaman's funeral but an official was quoted as having reservations about other Rod Stewart songs like 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' (first line of chorus 'If you want my body') possibly being requested!

Are you serious my wise poet.. requesting his songs during cremation..

I have heard it all... I can understand the Songs, Fire, A Hunk Of Burning Love.. however..  I liked his leather outfit when he is signing, Da You Think I'm Sexy....

Ironically Rod is known for being partial to blondes - certainly exemplified by his present wife - and. my sister is one, herself.

On subject of cremation service requests apt ones would be Come On Baby Light My Fire (various singers like Amy Stewart and Jose Feliciano), Burn Baby Burn (Hudson Ford) and Fire I Give You To Burn (Arthur C Brown)!
