If these words masterfully created
Have no target to better someone else life
Offer understanding and healing
Then there shall be no poetry here

If there's no religion of unity
A culture of support
And each one teach one
There shall be no poetry here

If these words scribed on keyboards and screens
Spits on spoken words
Won't be remembered by the impact they deliver,
To break the silence, inspire and empower
If these words don't spark the next flame of a revolution
If they don't preach and shed light on the utter truth
Then there shall be no poetry here

If we are not breaking the cycle
If we are part of the big machine
Cocks that don't drive change
And break about the chains
Then none of us deserve to be called poets or poetess
Artist nor sculptures
If we don't retaliate and break
If no one reads our words and does not relate
And if these words don't withstand time and resonate
Then there shall be no poetry here
