Saying Goodbye
It’s never easy
A flood of memories rush
Images of smiles
The recollection of your laughter
Blanketed with warmth
Today filled in sadness
We paid our respects
We said our farewells
With sincere and kindhearted thank you’s
For everything you did
And for the loving person you were
My heart went out to your family
Especially to your little girls
I teared up when my boys
Placed sunflowers on your casket
Watching the other children
All those you cared for
Now grown
Saying their goodbyes

Hi Honoria, thank you for your comment and for adding to your RL.
It was difficult day for the family all around.

Thank you very much Johnny.
I feel very lucky that she was a part of our lives, especially in helping bringing up my boys.

Thank you very much Solomon. These are her two younger sons, minutes before they lowered the casket (everyone else was off to the side). Her three daughters and husband where just to the right of when I took the picture. She was our babysitter, so there were many families around too, I just had the opportunity to capture this.

Thank you very much for your kind words Joseph. She was a God fearing woman (as the whole family), but we know she's watching over them.

It was wonderful to see all those kids grown up, though heartbroken, be appreciative of a person who gave them so much.

Today I set up my training schedule for a Home Health Caregiving job, I hope I will be able to give and create a lasting bond.
