Heaven take me last,
I know it's a selfish ask
But heaven take me last
After I've dealt with my past
Let go of all my regrets
Faced all my demons
Made forgiveness with my enemies
And no longer afraid
Heaven take me last
When all my dreams are realised
When I no longer want
All my needs satisfied...
When all my dues have been paid
And all my debts consolidated
Heaven take me last...
When I'm no longer afraid to die,
When I have something to leave behind
When love is no longer a selfish want,
my heart is content
And these memories no longer feel poignant
When I look back, it brings nothing but joy to my heart
Heaven take me last

I can relate to this. I have even said "this would be really shitty if I died right now" just as something glorious happens or arranges as attempted after years and effort. I enjoyed reading this.

I don't think this is selfish at all. I think your goal is to be right with the world before you leave this lifetime, and that is noble. That in and of itself, as RiAN said, is a tiny bit of heaven in one's heart!

Flawless in its delivery my King.. We are so small among the universe we go through life each day trying to find a purpose in life, is it safe to say, t our spiritual purpose it to just be, and all the trails and tribulation we succumbs under are the lesson in life we must learn as we progress to the next phase of our lives.. and that is spiritual rebirth
