Forgotten little girl left alone to face the world

You survive by getting lost deep within your own thoughts

An imaginary world where you’re no longer alone

Where you are safe and loved

So far within yourself you’ve gone

That you forget the world outside

Years pass by while you continue to hide

Until one day you look outside yourself and wonder

Where do you belong
