Off The Tracks
Pawned away your brain to ride the train
You gambled away all of your money
Your need for speed is like a stampede
But when you speak you sound kind of funny
Maybe the poison you love to drink
Blurs the words from all your books
You pant and rant the same spiteful chant
And yet you can’t see how bad it looks
There’s must be something else afoot
Staggering and lingering in the dark
Check your vitals before you spiral further
There where the evil needle left a mark
You’re speeding down the mountain
When the rails have way too many cracks
But you’re dumb and numb to the pain
As we witness you come off the tracks
From far away we can see you’ve derailed
And yet you chug along and not give a fuck
All the while your wild tirade tried and failed
But how long until you run out of luck?
