Mr. Macabre

You could call him
Mr. Macabre
Master of the dark
The seedy
The horrifying
Like little jig saw
Puzzle pieces
That paint a scary scene
When all of them
Fit into place
Oh, how he spins
His gory words into
The worst of the worst
Deep dark tales

He has a brighter side
That we don't often see
But it does exist
And the work
That it produces
Tend to oddly fall
On  the heavenly side
And is not a bit sinister

Mr. Macabre
A man of wit
A poet of merit
A writer of sheer terror
Who keeps us squarely
On the edge of our seats
Patiently awaiting our
Next repulsing ride
Down, down, down
And through the gates
Of hellacious nightmares
